Very emotional as I can feel the same feelings expressed through this poetry. Everyone expresses their wellness following abuse in different ways and sometimes survivors are as reluctant to look at another's feelings as they were to look at their own. It is good therapy to hear the stories of others who experienced similar things to yourself and to be open to feel it from their perspective.
As I read this wonderful memoir, it reminded me that we all have things that need dusted. We all have connections to community and this reminds us of the importance of the need to be aware of what is within our communities and how to support one another.
